ADA Self Evaluation & Transition Plan
Under Title II of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Town of Stoughton was required to complete an Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan (ADA SETP). The ADA SETP reviews the Town’s public facilities, programs, and services, to determine compliance with the ADA and identify any barriers to accessibility. The ADA SETP is a fluid document that prioritizes identified barriers in order for the Town to plan how best to correct them.
The Town of Stoughton received a planning grant as part of the Community Compact program through the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and contracted with The Collins Center at UMass Boston to assist with the self-evaluation process.
