Census

The 2025 Census forms have been mailed out.  Please note they are due back into the Town Clerk's office within 10 days of receipt.  

If you did not receive one in the mail, you can print it here (to the right) under "Census Black Form" and return it back to the Town Clerk's office, Ten Pearl Street, Stoughton, MA 02072.

The Annual Town Census is mailed to all Town of Stoughton residents at the beginning of each year, in January.  The census is an important legal document mandated by Massachusetts General Laws.

Information from the annual census is updated to the Commonwealth's Voter Registration Information System (VRIS).

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, any resident that has not returned a current census will be placed on the "inactive list".  Inactivation results in voters having to prove they are still residents of the Town by showing identification at the polls.
