Youth Specific Programs
In addition to counseling, we offer a variety of programs and enrichment opportunities for youth who live in Stoughton. These include youth leadership and service groups, babysitter training, youth skill-building programs, and summer trips through Operation Horizon.
Parent Specific Programs
Throughout the year the Youth Commission also offers various programs for parents. We host a monthly parent support group for parents of children of all ages to discuss any parenting questions or issues. Other family programs include Strengthening Families and the Stoughton Community Garden Project.
Prevention Efforts
The Stoughton Youth Commission also houses Organizing Against Substances in Stoughton (OASIS), Stoughton's substance abuse prevention coalition. OASIS is made up of community members that work toward the planning and reduction of youth alcohol and other drug use.
Early Thursday Activities
Every early Thursday the Youth Commission in collaboration with the O'Donnell Middle School (OMS) and the Stoughton YMCA holds open basketball at OMS for Stoughton youths in grades 6 to 8. If your child wishes to attend please contact Corie Brookshire at the OMS at 781-344-7002.
