Teresa D. Tapper, LMHC received her M.Ed in Counseling and CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) from Cambridge College. She has over 30 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked at Stoughton Youth Commission since 2006. Her areas of interest are child and adolescent mental health, parental/guardian support, family and group counseling. In addition, she has been actively involved in coalition work and grant-writing to promote health initiatives in the community (Community Gardens, Farmers Market, and OASIS (Organizing Against Substances in Stoughton). She also serves on the local DMH site board. Prior experience includes Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence counseling, residential care for adult MH, specialized foster care and adoption, and community-based counseling. She completed the Addictions Certificate Program at Bridgewater State University (2014) and is a certified leader for Chronic Disease Self-Management (2012). Teresa is an Army Veteran. In 2017, she completed Cognitive Processing Training to treat PTSD from Massachusetts General Hospital and Home Base program. She leads an ongoing adult Bereavement support group for the COA/SYC.
