Good afternoon,

MassDOT and the MBTA has issued an advisory concerning non-passenger service trains that need to be run in association with MBTA Positive Train Control (PTC) Program installation work that will run along the Stoughton branch of the MBTA Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail Line this coming Saturday. A copy of the advisory is attached.

As there will be trains running along this line when they usually do not during the weekend, we anticipate you could receive some inquiries from abutters to the rail corridor.  We would ask you to please direct them to contact us via email at PTCProgram@mbta.com or the program hotline at 617-721-7506.

In addition to this work, it can be expected that over the next 4-5 weekends PTC crews will be operating equipment along the railroad associated with PTC installation for this branch of the line.

Additional information on the program can be found on the MBTA PTC website here: https://www.mbta.com/projects/3064.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact me directly.

Thank you,

Joe Sgroi
