CERAMICS

For Kids (Grades 3-6, 7 & up): Children in grades 3-6 are taught by artist Kelly Jarasitis, and those in grades 7 and up by New England School of Art & Design alumnus and twenty-year veteran ceramic and craft instructor Laurice Rubel. Children will learn the latest in ceramic bisqueware, underglazing, funstrokes, and dry-brushing techniques. All materials are included. A smock or large over-shirt is recommended.

For Adults: Veteran instructor and Boston College graduate Denise Wallace brings years of ceramic expertise to this course. Students will work on and complete several projects of their choice. Instruction as well as greenware/bisqueware, glazes, and firing are included in this class. Students are responsible fore their own brushes, tools, and electrical hardware.

CRAFTS

Kids Just Love Crafts (Ages 2-4): Instructor Audrey Pabian joins young children and their parents as they cut, glue, color, sprinkle, make a mess, and have fun! Watch your children's excitement grow as they create crafts you can treasure for a lifetime.

SPORTS

Adult Recreational Basketball: This program allows participants to play informal games on a pick-up basis. No referees, just a good game and some camaraderie. Supervisors are Scott Breen and Steve Quatrucci.

Bowling (Ages 6-12): Program Facilitator Laurice Rubel instructs children as they bowl a string and learn to score at V&M Bowling.

Youth Wrestling (Grades 5-8): Coach Matt Colantonio, assisted by SHS varsity wrestlers, will introduce participants to real wrestling skills. Stretching, conditioning, takedowns, escapes, and rules of the sport are the focus of this program.

Field Hockey (Grades 5-8): This class is taught by Westfield State Hockey Captain and certified teacher Julie Flynn. The focus of this course will be stickwork, passing, shooting, ball control, and positioning. Some informal scrimmages will take place.

DRAMA

"Let's Put On A Show" (Grades 4-6): Stoughton Little Theater member Ann McDonald introduces particpants to the world of theater. Children will particpate in workshops in diction and voice, as well as creating and performing skits. There will be a performance for family and friends at the end of the six-week course.
