In May, Town Meeting passed the Municipal Aggregation Article which authorized the Town Manager with the approval of the Board of Selectmen to participate in a contract to negotiate the electricity load of residential and commerical customers while retaining the right to opt out.

During the September 13th Board of Selectmen's Meeting the consultants, Mark Cappadona of Colonial Power Group and Bernard Lynch of Community Paradigm Associates discussed the next steps in the process. (see attached power point). During the month of October, the Municipal Aggregation Plan will be posted on this webpage as well as at the Town Clerk's Office. The public will have the opportunity to comment on the plan.

The Town of Stoughton’s Aggregation Plan is available for public review and comment from Monday, October 3, 2016, at 9 a.m. through Monday, October 31, 2016, at 4:30 p.m.
Any person who desires to comment may do so in person at the Town Clerk’s office or submit written comments using one of the following methods: (1) by e-mail to pmccarthy@stoughton-ma.gov; or (2) by postal mail to the address below.


Comments must be clearly marked Town of Stoughton’s Aggregation Plan and must be received (not postmarked) by the end of the comment period in order to be addressed.
